He was Superintendent of the Slaithwaite Church Sunday School for 46 years

He did turn many away from iniquity

Also of Elizabeth wife of the above who died Jan 3^rd 1857 aged 63 years

Also of Lydia younger daughter of the said George and Elizabeth Mellor and wife of William Quarmby who died July 20^th 1885 aged 56 years
