Sacred to the memory of Samuel Walter A.M. of St Edmunds Hall Oxford twenty three years curate of Madeley in Shropshire and nearly eight years minister of this Chapel who fell a sleep in Jesus June 7^th 1823 aged 59 years.

Also of Ann second wife of the above Rev. S. Walter who died at Liverpool June 5^th 1824 aged 49 years.

Here rests their flesh in hope devine
