Beneath this stone waiting the resurrection the remains of  Mary the wife of  James Armitage of Holt Head in Lingards who departed this life on the 21^st day of September anno domini 1819 In the 69^th year of her age
Also her resteth the remains of the above mentioned James Armitage who departed this life 20^th February anno domini 1820 In the 70^th year of his age
Also the remains of Ann daughter of the above mentioned James and Mary Armitage and wife of Thomas Walker of Linthwaite who departed this life on the 25^th day of June 1821 In the 24^th year of her age
Also Ann wife of John Hoyle of Meltham who departed this life on the 7^th day of October 1829 aged 27 years
Morn not for me, my life is past.    Who’s love continued to the last
But kindness show and pity take.   On my poor children for my sake
Also Sarah wife of Samuel Armitage who died December 26^th 1838 aged 60 years
Also the aforesaid Samuel Armitage who departed this life April 1^st 1848 aged 74 years
