Beneath this stone lieth the body of James Balmforth of Wilberlee in Slaithwaite who departed this life 16^th day of December 1812 in the 81^st year of his life.

Also Hannah the wife of the abovesaid James Balmforth who departed this life on the 29^th day of January 1816 in the 78th year of her age.
