In memory of Sophia daughter of John and Sarah Sykes of Lowestwood Mills in Golcar who departed this life on the 11^th day of June 1828 aged 19 years.
Also of John the son of Samuel and Mary Ann Sykes of Lowestwood who departed this life on the 4^th of June 1829 aged 1 year and 2 months.
Age is no measure, what for Heav’n is fit.
When the Lord doth call, we must submit.
Also of the above named Sarah wife of John Sykes who departed this life August 19^th 1838 aged 65 years.
Also the above named John Sykes of Lowestwood who died February 1^st 1849 in the 79^th year of his age.
Also of Benjamin son of John and Sarah Sykes who died August 22^nd 1877 aged 77 years.
