Beneath this stone lies waiting the resurrection, the remains of James Broadbent the son of Miles Broadbent of Lingarths in Slaithwaite who departed this life on the20th day February Anno Domini 1802 in the 6^th year of his age.

Also the remains of Kitty the wife of the above Miles Broadbent who departed this life on the 13^th day of June 1817 aged 45 years.
