Here lieth the body of John Bottomley of Pickle Top in Slaithwaite who departed this life on the 19^th day of March 1808 in the 86^th year of his age.

Also the body of Joseph the son of the above John Bottomley of the same place who died on the 18^th day of April 1811 aged 53 years.
