Grave A30           BAMFORD     WRIGLEY

Beneath this stone are deposited the remains of the Reverend Charles Bamford who departed this life of the  4^th day of  September in the year of our Lord, 1804 aged 77 years. 

He was the first Pastor of the Church of Jesus Christ which assembled here served it upwards of eleven years with great success and was greatly respected by all his friends.

Also Mary the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Wrigley of Broadhead Saddleworth and wife of the above Revd. Charles Bamford, who departed this life the 3^rd day of  June 1815 in the 83^rd year of her age.
